‘Savita’ and ‘Savitri’ are the names of Sun god that are used to describe the midday Sun and his energy. ‘Attaining immortality by conquering death’ is known as ‘Savitri Vidya’ and this can be achieved by the sadhana of Gayatri Mantra. In this context, death does not mean physical death but the darkness and ignorance of man that needs to be annihilated to attain immortality.
We hope that readers will try to understand the importance of Savitri Vidya as explained in this Upanishad and do sadhana to attain the immortality.
